In most cases using a No-CD or Fixed EXE will solve this problem!
Some original games do not work when a certain application has been installed, like DAEMON Tools.When using Fixed Files make sure to use a Firewall which controls outgoing traffic, as some games call back to report the use of these modified files!.When this happens use the original EXE to play online, else you could find yourself banned from the game! Some No-CD/Fixed EXE files work fine in Single Player mode but are detected to be modified when trying to play online.Always make a backup of the files that are overwritten by the File Archive, as the original files are usually required to update the game to a newer version or to play Online!.Geneforge 4 however is my least favorite game as you play as a Webel and I hate Rebels I hate them with a passion, thank god 5 have shapers classes again.Game or Patch Questions? Visit FileForums 2 is my second pick as when I first play it (play the shareware demo) I thought the map I saw was only the demo area until I reach to a certain point and boom I was amaze. Geneforge 3 is my favorite as you get to have some perma-temp allies like Alwan and Greta (they are Perma as they cannot die (they run away back to where you find them until a certain point) and they are Temp based on your choice aka if you side with the rebel Alwan leave if you side with the Shapers Greta leave). 5 have a nasty surprise for you if you use too many canister but it can be countered with leadership. From 2 to 5 using the Cansiter does in fact affect your ending i think it 6 or less for the unaltered ending any more than that will affect the ending your getting. (this is a minor spoiler as it only affect one line of the endings. You can't really spoil the endings of Geneforge as the Endings are differnet with every playthough ex: In Geneforge 2 If you kill a Certain guy the Shapers will be please on your decision if you didn't the Shapers would be dissapointed.
